Faridon Dadrass | Operations Manager
As operations manager, Faridon provides myriad human resources and administrative support services to Illuminate. Building upon his experience in the financial services and hospitality management sectors, he co-founded his own company in 2011, which has since expanded to 3 locations. Faridon is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
Kara Fitzgibbon | Project Manager
Alongside her previous project management and related client-serving experience, Kara’s robust understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and firm grasp of the clinical trials process serve her well at Illuminate. A graduate of Syracuse University, Kara holds a BS in marketing.
Daniel Goldsmith | Senior Project Manager
Daniel applies his extensive background in overseeing the production of sales training materials for the life sciences industry to ensure projects stay on time, on budget, and within scope. He has worked in the eLearning industry for 20 years, over half of that as a project manager. During that time, he has shepherded a diverse range of projects to successful completion. He holds a BS in TV and Radio Broadcasting with a minor in Corporate Communications from Ithaca College.
Benjamin Camp | Graphic Designer
Drawing upon his experience in graphic design and digital publishing, Benjamin’s role at Illuminate involves creating custom content for eLearning and print modules, workshop materials, and more. He has a BS and an MS in science, media arts, and technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Alexa Costi | Content Development Specialist
Drawing upon her experience working in the education publishing industry, Alexa applies her extensive editorial and project management background to ensure every Illuminate project reflects the high quality and consistency for which the company has developed a sterling reputation. She has a BFA in writing, literature, and publishing from Emerson College.
Jesika Clergé | Operations Manager
In her role as Operations Manager, Jesika provides a myriad of vital human resources and administrative support services to Illuminate. She is particularly well versed in finance, administration, vendor and client services management, business operations, and client-relationship software application. Jesika has a BA in economics and English from Mount Holyoke College, and two graduate certificates in nonprofit management and international business practice from Northeastern University (Boston, MA) and St. Mary’s University College (London, England), respectively.
Patrick Henning | Learning Technology Manager
Patrick applies his instructional design and editorial skills to his role as Learning Technology Manager, drawing upon previous experience as a desktop publisher and editorial assistant. He holds a BA in English with a minor in communication studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Oliver Garside | Sales Administrative Assistant
Oliver supports Illuminate’s business development efforts and works to grow the company’s business portfolio by drawing upon his experience providing sales and marketing support for Boston-area real estate management companies. Oliver holds a BA in business management from Bentley University.
Gina Myers | Senior Manager, Learning Technology
Gina has more than 15 years of experience working with learning management systems. In previous positions, she oversaw LMS administration for Depomed; performed business systems analysis and provided Tier 1 LMS support to 11 college campuses for the University of California Office of the President; and managed LMS training administration for RenderSoft, a pharmaceutical consulting solutions provider. She brings a robust understanding of end-user support, the life sciences industry, and clinical sales training to Illuminate. Gina has a BS in business administration from California State University, Sacramento.
Cesar Cavallo | Operations Manager
Cesar supports Illuminate by providing executive, operational, and administrative services. His role includes benefits administration, policy implementation, and operations and logistics management. Over the past decade, Cesar has developed his HR organizational experience, interpersonal skills, and customer service mindset while working as an HRSC representative at Boston University, an HR administrative support specialist at High Liner Foods, and an HR benefits specialist at the Boston-area utility contractor Feeney Brothers. Cesar is currently pursuing a HR Management Certification from Southern New Hampshire University.
Clint Johnson | Learning Technology Manager
In his role as Learning Technology Manager, Clint draws upon his background in instructional design, technical support, and corporate training. His projects involve authoring and developing content and learning objects, such as PI Explorer™, for Illuminate’s learning management system. Prior to joining Illuminate, Clint was a senior desktop publisher at a pharmaceutical sales training company and worked in web production for two Boston-area newspapers. Clint holds a BS in communication studies from Emerson College.
Joanne Barbosa | Assistant to the President
Joanne supports Illuminate by providing executive, operational, and administrative services. Her role includes facilitating meetings and other forms of critical client communication, as well as managing operations and logistics. Joanne developed her organizational experience, interpersonal skills, and client-centric focus during her years in healthcare and hospitality management, which included positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Four Seasons Hotel Boston, and the Mandarin Oriental Boston. Joanne earned her bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from the University of Hartford.
Justin Hynes | Project Manager
Justin has vast experience in the marketing, social media, and customer service world. He recently received his bachelor’s in communication studies from Pace University, where he held multiple internships at some of media’s top corporations. Justin’s experience in the customer service industry fine-tuned his capability to handle every task with efficiency and care. In bringing his experience and knowledge to Illuminate, Justin has strengthened the company’s ability to always deliver a high-quality product.
Karen Minor | Director, Curriculum Design
Karen has a diverse professional background and has worked with global companies in the financial services, automotive, pharmaceutical, and retail industries. Her goal and passion is to deliver solutions that meet the business objectives of her clients by improving employee performance. Prior to joining Illuminate, Karen led teams in the creation and delivery of training and leadership development, performance management, recruiting, executive coaching, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning. Karen earned an MBA from National University and a bachelor’s degree in human development from Wayne State University.
Brian Dewey | Manager, Design Studio
Brian has over a decade of experience in crafting and maintaining brand identities across a wide range of industries, from healthcare and life sciences to education and publishing. Brian’s visual design raises the bar, in both print and digital media, to increase the value of our clients’ communications. During his career, he has extended creative solutions for a wide range of clients in a variety of industries, including the American Cancer Society, Liberty Mutual, Catholic Memorial, Suffolk University, Proveris Scientific, BG Medicine, Aetna, Pfizer, the NFL, the Center for Global Health, EMD Serono, the National Cancer Institute, deCODE, Boston University, 3D Matrix Medical Technology, and many more. Brian holds a BA in visual art from Roger Williams University.
Nicola Hassapis | Content Development Specialist
Nicola is a Content Development Specialist with a writing, editing, and management background. Before joining Illuminate, she spent more than four years working on the business and technology desk at a Boston-based news and marketing company. Nicola holds a B.S. in print and multimedia journalism from Emerson College.
Ryan Noonan | Senior Project Manager
Ryan brings years of editing, writing and team management experience to his role at Illuminate. He regularly works with writers, designers, and clients to coordinate timelines, oversee projects, and ensure high-quality results for both traditional printed learning systems and eLearning courses. Ryan holds degrees in English and Communications from Boston College, and has worked in the local news media and online marketing fields in the Boston area.
Jake Roeschley | Project Director
Jake is a content manager with extensive writing and marketing experience. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas and worked several years as a journalist for a Texas-based lifestyle magazine. Prior to joining Illuminate, Jake was the Technology Editor at a content marketing firm in Boston, where he developed custom news and Web content for several leading firms in the high-tech industry. The skillset Jake developed as a writer and as an editor is a proven and valuable asset, as he often handles various editing duties in addition to his role as a project manager.
Cindy Galante | Director, Operations
Since joining Illuminate in 2011, Cindy has demonstrated a proficiency for personnel and operations management, and her prior experience in managerial positions in other industries makes her invaluable as Illuminate’s manager of client services. In this role Cindy assists the project team in managing workflow, timelines, and budgets and works with clients to assure milestones are achieved and expectations met. Cindy also serves as an additional point of contact to ensure steady communication between clients and their project teams.
Juan Carlos Pinedo | Magister Account Manager
Juan Carlos brings extensive business management, writing, communications, and sales experience to Illuminate. He started out in the field of journalism as a news writer for a local radio station. He then moved into a successful sales career with Moore Business Forms. His business management experience includes operations manager for an insurance company and launching/operating a cleaning services company. Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Juan Carlos is fluent in Spanish and English. He received a BS in Journalism from the Universidad Cecilio Acosta in Maracaibo and is a firm believer in continuing education and a global approach to learning.
Brian Kane | Vice President of Sales
Brian brings over 7 years of successful new business development and customer relationship management to Illuminate. He is adept at partnering with customers to identify and implement solutions that achieve business objectives and provide sustained results. Prior to joining Illuminate, Brian was responsible for the growth and development of device sales in endoscopy, bronchoscopy and thoracic surgery throughout the highly competitive New England region. He also has experience in physician, hospital, and senior living network development, giving him valuable insight into the practical and systemic issues pharmaceutical and device representatives must navigate. Brian received a BS in Business Administration and Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Hartford.
Shaun McMahon | President, Founder
Shaun’s aim is to ensure the goals and expectations of Illuminate’s clients are understood, realized, and exceeded. Shaun boasts a diverse background in training and development, with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, computer, and automobile industries. He also holds a BS in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College. Before founding Illuminate in 2004, Shaun worked as director of project development for pharmaceutical sales training company Total Learning Concepts, and as national training manager for Medeva Pharmaceuticals, where he developed training programs for several leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. Shaun oversees the operations of Illuminate and is often the main point of contact between the company and its clients, allowing him to ensure that messages are communicated throughout the teams and that the end product is more than satisfactory to the client.
Tyler Caffelle | Senior Learning Technology Manager
After graduating from New England Institute of Technology with a BS in software engineering, Tyler worked with the United States Air Force developing training simulations. In the following year Tyler joined Illuminate and brings a unique perspective to the company. Aside from extensive programming experience, his interpersonal skills allow him to assist clients with technical issues and find solutions to complex problems.
